wines available at last year's festival.
Join 10 of New Jersey’s top wineries for two days of wine sampling, live music, gourmet picnic specialties and artisans as the fourth annual Pour Into Summer Wine Festival pops the cork on another year at the Taylor Avenue bayside field in Beach Haven. The event will take place Saturday, June 6, from noon to 5 p.m., and Sunday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The festival is conveniently located on the bayfront in Bay Village, where visitors will have the chance to savor over 200 varietals in addition to purchasing by the bottle or case. Participating wineries include DiMatteo Vineyard, Tomasello Winery, Auburn Road Vineyards, Coda Rossa Winery, Plagido’s Winery, Wagonhouse Winery, Renault Winery, Cedarvale Winery, Amalthea Cellars and more.
The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce began working with Beach Haven and GPS Productions to bring this event to LBI five years ago,” said Lori Pepenella, director of Destination Marketing, LBI Region at the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce. “We feel it creates an opportunity to showcase our iconic area with fantastic New Jersey wines that brings positive attention early in the summer season. This year it is paired perfectly with the Lighthouse (International) Film Festival, which will add even more ways for guests to experience the incredible destination we are.”
Participating local restaurants include Crust and Crumb Bakery, Bistro 14, Country Kettle Chowda and Carmen’s. Artisans and crafters include Carolyn’s Crystal Creations, Forte’s Finest, Hamm’s Art Studio, Hank Sauce, Karen’s Colorful Corner, Pappardelle’s Pasta, Taste Artisanal Market, Woodpecker’s Custom Coolers and The Hangover Pretzel Co.
The VooDUDES will be performing live on Saturday, and Right Turn at 40 will perform Sunday.
Festival-goers will also be able to partake in the 11th annual Beach Bums Corvette Show on Sunday only.
Festival tickets cost $12 in advance, or $15 on the day-of. Spectators and those younger than 21 years old are free. Admission includes a souvenir wine glass.
