Blood drive to be held at the Beach Haven firehouse Aug. 12

The annual Beach Haven blood drive hosted by the American Red Cross will be held at the Beach Haven firehouse, located at the corner of Bay and Engleside avenues, on Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 2 to 7 p.m. The Red Cross is currently in dire need of blood donations, said Darcy Kolodziej, receptionist at borough hall.

“Especially during the summer months, it’s not on a lot of people’s minds to donate,” she said.

Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Proper identification is required. Parents must fill out a consent form for children 16 years old and younger.
